2017 being a cooler year with much larger canopies we were able to let the grapes hang much longer - giving excellent citrus flavours whilst retaining great natural acid. A classic Eden Valley Riesling year!

Spring has sprung and so has our 2018 Rosedale Road Sangiovese Rosé. A perfect wine for spring and summer drinking, once again a crackingly good rosé - if your taste is for crisp, fresh, dry rosé, with bright colours, aromas and flavours (and frankly, that’s where our taste is…!).

Montepulciano originates from central Italy and it is very much a 'modern Mediterranean' red, produced from our Western Ridge soils. Berries and cherries, full bodied with crunchy tannin, our second Montepulciano is a beauty!
The blending of the perfume, spice and flesh of the Tempranillo, the savoury zip of Sangiovese, and the gentle power of the Shiraz has once again delivered a terrific wine....we love it!
Undeniably aromatic, with distinctive notes of raspberry, mulberry and plum, and occasional hints of dried herbs, the variety also offers a juicy, fleshy yet medium-bodied palate which is oh-so drinkable.
Planted on our prized red loam over limestone (rightly famous in Coonawarra as terra rossa), the small vines produce small crops of small berries ~ detect a theme here? ~ that make a wine with anything but small character!
Clichéd but true: “Every vintage is different”.
The warmth, the rain, the sunshine - even after growing grapes and making wine for many years, the way in which nature shapes a wine never ceases to fascinate, intrigue and beguile us.
RIP, Savagnin. What more can we say? The vines made the supreme sacrifice to bring you The Seductress....
If you are looking for an ultra-full-bodied tempranillo, go no further. This can kill a Spanish bull and provide the perfect wine and food match.... James Halliday's Cellaring Selections

How often do we hear "The best of both worlds"? In this case it's true - we take the flesh, the spice, the berry fruit, the generosity of Shiraz; and team it with the structure, coolness, red fruits and savoury herbs of Cabernet.
