Entirely produced from vines grown at Pindarie. The Black Hinge Shiraz for the 2018 vintage was selected from the top of "Tony's Block Shiraz ”, grown on our famous Terra rossa soils. Vintage 2018 was excellent! Early ripening, great weather, small berries, and exceptional colour… which made the wine making process relatively easy. 
The wine has a terrific balance of tannin and acid with a generous, opulent mouth feel from fruit and a 16-month long sleep in high quality French Oak. It is concentrated, dense and rich in spices and berry fruits, that will reward the consumer with drinking pleasure for at least a decade. This vintage is a big one, not unlike the 2016.
